MUI urges Muslims to boycott U.S. products
The Jakarta Post | Tue, 12/30/2008 10:30 PM | National

The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has urged all Indonesian Muslims to boycott
U.S.-made products, to push president-elect Barrack Obama to halt the Israeli
attacks on Gaza.

Boycotting U.S. products was a way for Indonesia to pressure the United States
to stop conflicts between Israel and Palestine's Hamas group, MUI fatwa
commission chairman Ma'ruf Amin said Tuesday .

"Israel ... will only be afraid of the U.S., so all Muslims must urge Obama to
intervene and overcome the conflict," Ma'ruf said.

The MUI hoped Obama would not follow in the footsteps of his predecessor,
George W. Bush, who had failed to adopt a neutral stance in the
Israeli-Palestinian conflicts, he said. (ewd)

That's absurd. Even hamas won't agree with this! Look at how hamas lovingly
uses American's Disney's Mickey Mouse to further its propaganda!

But should MUI insist on it, they can ban the use of Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia,
Microsoft Windows and Office, some Linux distros like Red Hat, Phothoshop,
Flash, Youtube and Firefox/Safari/IE. Also stop printing using HP printers,
taking digital pictures and store them in SanDisk SD cards. And just to top it
off, please disconnect from the Internet as most ISPs in Indonesia are still
using Cisco!

Perhaps MUI should stop and think how incompetent and dependent their country
is on others. It hurts to think so. And yes, you're still dependent on America!

Ignorant is a bliss! But make it your duty that you shouldn't further your
ignorant to your people.
