Hello, I see on LAKML there is buzz about old_params today:
[PATCH] arm: remove support for old way to pass kernel parameters http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/linux-arm-kernel/2010-January/008032.html [PATCH] arm: deprecate support for old way to pass kernel parameters http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/linux-arm-kernel/2010-January/008039.html Are we affected? Is it now the moment to propose some zaurus-specific hacks in kernel in order to be able to retrieve the mtdparts passed in the old way by our old-fashioned bootloader? And more, would it be possible to still pass the old_params in order to boot 2.4 / atags-unaware kernels? I think at the issue we have with kexecboot and 2.4 (cacko-sharp) kernels: these rely on a predefined mtd partitioning, being that they don't find any params at the expected (now deprecated) address.
