Now I can do

but I actually do not trust the "Link" and "Signal" numbers.

In my setup:

( Notebook with zd1211b ) ... ( access point ) --- ( server )

I see at the server a lot of packets like

22:42:33.855426 00:13:49:**:**:** > ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff sap 00 xid/R: 01 00 len=40
                ^ MAC of WLAN adapter

so traffic gets through but not IP. But this might be a problem outside
of zd1211 - I never succeeded in getting the kernel 80211 stuff running
thus far.
