This works fairly well, by compiling the USB ID into the ZD1211B part of
the ids.  I've tested it on WEP only. Ubuntu 7.04

I made the specific module, then copied the .ko file into the correct
place for other modules.  I did a depmod -a, and now the module gets 
inserted as the machine boots.

I have some problems:
- sometimes the device will not start.  I have to reboot, and restart
the card under Windows, then reboot again.
sudo ifup eth2 gives no device existing in this case.  rmmod and
modprobe do not help

- there is a kernel taint message.  I am not sure what that means.
[   22.092000] zd1211rw: no version for "struct_module" found: kernel
tainted.
