Hi,

zd1211rw support for UW2453 (and hence AR5007UG) is ready and has been
submitted.

This RF code doesn't work very well, and I have a feeling that the
vendor driver works a little bit better, but all attempts to quantify
this difference have failed - zd1211rw has performed the same or better
in all tests.

This RF seems to perform much worse than the others, even in the
vendor driver. I would advise staying away from it - buy an AL2230S
instead. There are many failed transmissions and incoming frames are
often broken. I'll be posting some test results soon.

That said, it works, sort of. Ulrich points out that he has observed
quality of the same RF varying based on the manufacturing (rather than
the actual RF being at fault), but in this case I think the RF/RF
programming code is exceptionally bad: it's new, the RF programming is
complicated, there are a number of oddities in the code, and I'm not
just talking about a few dropped frames -- this thing really isn't
working well at all.

Here are the patches for mainline linux, in this order:

http://marc.info/?l=linux-wireless&m=117996521611962&q=raw
http://marc.info/?l=linux-wireless&m=117996690531314&q=raw
http://marc.info/?l=linux-wireless&m=117996533428792&q=raw

These will be included in 2.6.23.

Daniel
