There are two things you can try - 1) there are some anecdotal evidence that the new default minstrel rate algorithm doesn't work as good compared to the older default pid algorithm where the signal strength is low. I don't remember when the switch for the default algorithm has happened, but that's about the same time frame. - you can try switching back to pid if that's the case. I think it is either a compile-time option or a compile-time enable + echo to /sysfs runtime switch option.
2) It is not very useful posting compat-wireless-2009-10-28 vs compat-wireless-2009-11-03 - it is more useful posting the content of "master-tag", "git-describe", and "compat-release" (and maybe other small files) at the top of the tarball which contains the git tags or sha1 sum of where they derives (this may it easier to pin point what it was made of and the difference between it and the other). julien cubizolles wrote: > I get disconnected from my AP whenever I upload large files (>50Mo). > Download is fine.
