Hi Hans,
as Siegfried said in his comment the zeitgeist daemon is designed to start upon
request, so we don't need to autostart zeitgeist on session start.
This is why I'm setting this bug to "won't fix"

Please include the following script for in /etc/xdg/autostart to autostart
Zeitgeist. This is not the final version, but works for Zeitgeist in Ubuntu
10.04.
