It would be the work of GIMP to log the file save with zeitgeist else Zeitgeist will have to run a file watcher to check for changes - which is too much expensive on resources.
Technical explanation aside, it needs to be done somewhere in GIMP - either as a plugin or something -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Zeitgeist Framework Team, which is subscribed to Zeitgeist Framework. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1137616 Title: Dash - Files saved from GIMP do not appear in the Dash Status in Ayatana Design: Fix Committed Status in The GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP): New Status in Unity: Triaged Status in Zeitgeist Framework: Confirmed Status in “gimp” package in Ubuntu: New Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in “zeitgeist” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: To reproduce: 1. Open GIMP 2.8 on a computer running Ubuntu (the Rearing release) 2. Create a new image in GIMP 3. Use the "File/Export" menu option to save a .png of the image to the Desktop folder 4. Open the Dash File Lens and search for the file you have just saved. Current incorrect behaviour: - The file does not appear in the Dash Desired correct behaviour: - When the File Lens is opened, the file that has just been saved from GIMP should appear at the front of files under the 'Recent' category header. It should also be possible to search for the file and find it in the Dash. Notes: This is probably an issue with Zeitgeist logging of GIMP events To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/1137616/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~zeitgeist Post to : zeitgeist@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~zeitgeist More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
