I can't imagine that if you sat on a cushion or bench in the middle of the
woods between a couple of trees that there would be people who would
question what you are doing just sitting by yourself next to a tree.

I go to the public parks all the time and sit on any picnic bench or walk
around and meditate with lots of people in the park. If you are waiting for
some kind of cosmic silence in order to meditate, you may never get the
chance.
