Dana,

When you visualize, you are the subject, and the object is what you visualize.
So it is dualistic, therefore, not zen.

Not Zen, perhaps. But why not zen?

When I journey, I am as present in the moment (or endeavor to be) as I am in
following my breath, or chanting a mantra.

Brett,

I did for about a year and gave up. That, no doubt, can be a good practice.
But it is not zen.

I was just wondering if anyone here uses any visualization practises in
their meditation.
Brett.
