...*smiles/laughter*...It sometimes does have its draw-backs..

Speaking of music lately, I've been getting myself involved in what's called
Early Music..along the lines of Europe's Feudal, Medieval, and Renaissance
music, and I attended my first concert a few weeks ago. This is because I'm
currently learning to play the recorder. Yes, I
know...*sighs/laughter*....parents get terrified of this simple plastic
instrument when any of the children get hold of it. Well, I've always wanted to
learn to play early music on this instrument, especially after having
watched the film ELIZABETH(1998, Cate Blanchett, Geoffrey Rush)

However, with such interests as the above, I sometimes wonder, because most of
such early music were associated with the church and the power that was the
Vatican. Before going back to Zen, I have tried twice to return voluntarily to
the Christian fold, and the emotions involved as well as other things/issues
just ended up tampering with my rather precarious blood pressure and other
health conditions. A part of me says that I should stick to only the Asian
variety of Zen or Buddhist-like music, but the fact is...I love early music. I
don't know...*smiles*...I just love it!

I've just been listening to the work SHEPHERD's DANCE(Tielman Susato, 1510-1570
AD) on YouTube, and it has that soothing, calming effect..*grin*...whoever said
that such calm, soothing music can only come from the Far East? And it was
played with recorders ONLY...how about that?
