JM, >'When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor >less.' Humpty Dumpty to Alice.
I think both Bill! and Steve have shown that 'religion' means different things to different people. Maybe the word has lost its currency. As long as there are sentient beings zen (no matter what it is called) will flourish - it's unborn so cannot die. Thank Each Friend of Zen for replying. May I say the answer to my question is, "To some Zen is a religion, to others it is not, depending on the region and culture." Then my next question is, "Based on the CNN article, do you think Zen will flourish or disappear?" :-) -- Be Enlightened In This Life - We ALL Can http://chanjmjm.blogspot.com http://www.heartchan.org
