I have tinnitus, but not so loud that it bothers me. There's a funny story: I didn't really conceptualize it as tinnitus until some friend was describing her tinnitus (as a rationale for why she prefers to live in urban settings) and I immediately said, "Hey, I have ringing in my ears a lot too!"
Since mine isn't bothersome enough to do anything about except bear, I don't have much advice about treatment. It does seem to be another one of those things that is gradually getting worse (along with my eyes and my complaints about soreness when I sleep funny and so on--the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to). Sometimes its very vivid during zazen but really much less bothersome than itchy skin or sleepiness. SInce there's nothing to be done about it, I am not tempted to move; itchy skin will tempt me to scratch, and sleepiness to call it short. I'd guess some standard advice about not listening to really loud noises and getting enough sleep and good nourishment would apply :) Thanks, --Chris [email protected] +1-301-270-6524 On Thu, Nov 17, 2011 at 3:18 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Juemiao Jingming - > 覺妙精明 <[email protected]> > To: Zen_Forum <[email protected]> > Sent: Thu, Nov 17, 2011 3:17 pm > Subject: Re: [Zen] Curious experience > > Long Beach CA > > thanks > > Kirk > Zendervish, Where do you live?
