Thanks!
@ Bill!: I appreciate the reminder that perhaps I'm only in search of what
Siddhartha himself was... cessation of suffering. It was very sobering (?) to
be compared to a Buddha himself! But, it should reason that that is what brings
us all to this path anyway; the natural human instinct to overcome suffering.
You are absolutely right: meditation is excellent advice and an integral part
of my path. Thanks again.
@ Kristopher: I did not find your reply cold or heartless. To the contrary, the
psychological aspect of this is really engaging to me. I struggle incessantly
for control of my thoughts/mind. Besides, I think you knew that simply
commiserating and validating my suffering would be of little help other than to
identify. That was pretty clear to me. And principles like you pointed out are
like "ancient Chinese Secrets" to me; I relish them.
One point, and a very valid one, considering earning a living... I'm on
Disability, but I also maintain a part-time job. Nonetheless, your words were
no less true. I do need to find a way, or ways, to contribute more. That is
also clear to me. Thank you very much.
Well, all in all I'm better off than before I discovered this group. Myself, I
would like to see more in-depth study/discussion topics, yet I understand
"group aspects" of just being, too.
Thanks again and I'm glad to join you.
