The Indic bookseller in India, Motilal Banarsidass, has a western wing which
purveys some of his specially printed or reprinted books via the web. Payment
is in $US, and the books are shipped from the USA.

Some of the books featured at the site are a little expensive, but I think only
the more flashy books are featured. There is a very large back-list which
includes many classics, and they are pretty cheap. I suppose there are no
copyright issues, with this publisher being able to far undercut the prices of
western-printed editions of these titles: You can often buy his new editions
for less than the cost of a used book of the same title, when the original
publisher has ceased publishing the book. Paper and binding quality are
variable, but I think these editions will still outlast many of us.

I think some of his reprinted books can also be gotten from Amazon, for about
the same very low prices as from this printer.

There is a large Buddhism section, including Zen, which is why I post this
note. I think of it, in the first place, because I think Chris is on-travel at
a place in a Buddhist country where Buddhist books are available and
inexpensive. These are books you won't have to carry home: the postman will
bring them to you. I give the link to the book site below:
