An honest apology, for an honest expression. Honestly appreciated.
Kind speech is a Zen precept? Something in addition to the eightfold path's 'right speech'?
"Kind" words can be right or wrong, have good or bad intention (karma for you religious types). This is something other than the 'Right' speech of the eightfold path. 'Right' is what directly presents, as is, without mucking it up. An honest relation to/expression of. Non-judgmental, uncolored, unbiased, without agenda, intention, or expectation.
So perhaps, the expression being politically motivated/divisive/biased is a step 'off' the path, but it was an honest/direct step. Thus 'on' the path. All steps form the path. Such is the path.
If path were to appear as perfection, there would be no path. The perfect path is pathless, the way forward unknown. The path we can know, follows us, creating the appearance we have been following the path. Pathless, appearing as path in reflection. Perflect.

Yes, pardon my ridiculous railing(s). Apologies to the Group. One of our ten Zen Precepts is Kind Speech. I blew it. (Saying I had a bad day is not an excuse). Won't happen again.
