I'll jump in with a side thought, or one from the edge.

I note that creatures with an average IQ of 100 are killed regularly.  Their IQ 
is that compared to others of the peers.

These IQ-100 killings include killings of whales, seals, dogs, cows, sheep, 
pigs, fish, and fowl.  Insects too are eaten with (or without) relish by some.

These animals have not acted to wrong society (except maybe the locusts).  They 
are hunted or domesticated for their meat, fat, skin, organs, and oil.

Their IQ is neglected during the killing and the harvest, and usually during 
the consumption, too.

The numbers killed are in the millions, not just a one-off now and then who is 
demented or has gone bad with rabies.

PS  "So what" if the Una-bomber had an IQ of 145, which he did, and the Boston 
Strangler had an IQ of 150?  Should they be preserved because of their mature 
intellects?  Note, I am being obtuse, to provoke non-thought, by All.
