This is another 'po-tay-to, po-tah-to' thing as far as I'm concerned.

You could say 'experience or communion with God', and I might say just 
'experience' or 'awareness of experience' or 'Buddha Nature'.  As long as 
whatever you're describing is holistic experience and not a dualistic 
experience (like: 'here's me and then there's God over there and we communicate 
with each other), then it's probably just a different way to describe the same 
experience.
