I did ask for a creative NEW idea. I can't say you are wrong. It may be that the bad things we see, like people being tortured, people having painful diseases, people in grief because a loved one has died, etc. have only been a kind of movie, and no real mind ever suffered from those things. If so, I will be able to relax and play.
But, what if those kinds of things really are happening to others? Then, I need to find a solution. If the solution turns out not to be needed because everyone is in some kind of heaven just watching scary movies, it will have done no harm to have searched for the knowledge, and I will be all the happier knowing what consciousness isn't suffering after all.
