Merle, Nope. I'm stubborn, and not in a hurry. I am going to make the bookstore and Universe come through for me. And I will not pay over $2 US (the book will therefore have to be in nicely bad condition, barely salable. I had a copy in 1973-4. Maybe I'll find the same edition. "Signet", I think it was; nice illustration on the cover). I've already read the book. I never thought it was so great anyway. I just want to see if I was right, and to read it again also for nostalgia purposes. I don't think it was one of Huxley's proudest efforts, anyhow. Hence, not TOO motivated, here. I think I'll enjoy it again, though. But the store will eventually get a copy, and I might be there at the right time to adopt it, read it, and sell it back to them at a loss. Or maybe I'll just peruse it in the comfortable store and decide I don't need it again. There are lots of tasty choices when we don't pick and choose.
