Mike,
Thinking of you always, Mike (no, don't worry).
Thinking of you as "The Spirit in the Sky" (which was/is a good song). And as
a "bi-lingual" practitioner who knows where Zen methods come from and probably
practices them more deeply than many Zen students. This said also to test your
reactions vis-a-vis Pride. ;-)
Here in the desert there's nowhere to hide, hardly a tree; we have mostly large
columnar Saguaro cacti (the [May-blooming] Saguaro flower is Arizona's State
Flower), and it's usually too hot to wear a trench coat, anyway. You don't
want to get too close to such a cactus: the thorns are, well, impressive.
Speaking of candy, the kids will be by on Halloween night, on 31 Oct, Wed.
night, here. This year I shall wear a long black wig and hold my (tree-limb)
"Zen" staff, when I open the door. They won't get the connection with Zen, I
think; I'll look like many another street-person.
Trick-or-Treat!,
