Dear All,

For last 4 days I was in leave for Deepavali, hence I could not read
most of your mails. But I used to see in my mobile and scroll down
messages, but not read to its full meaning.

I see Mr.Phantom continues with his denial of the existence of the god.

The problem here is language and its expression. The great seers,
saints or all enlightened teachers of all religion expressed that
which cannot be expressed in words. Only Ramana Maharishi had
expressed it very correctly and no body expressed in such simple ways.
If that is not been practiced by Mr.Phantom, then no one can give any
fulfilling answer to him, but one thing he has to realize that he is
seeking himself and nothing else.

On Monday (12/11/2012) in the evening I went to Mylapore Nagaeswara
rao park with my children, there in children section, my younger son
was playing in concrete glide, so I was standing close to it. And I
saw so many scribbling on the glide, and suddenly, one sentence caught
my attention which was written in Tamil.

i.e. “Nijam theriyadha en Marupakathinai thedi alayaigiendran – R.S.Bose”

in English

Without knowing the truth of my otherside I am searching it.

This is what exactly Mr.Phantom is doing, without knowing his other
side, he is searching truth, but he is the truth. If this is not
drama, what else can be drama?

Another instant I wanted to share here. My both children are afraid of
sound of the crackers. Every Diwali I face this problem. I know that
my elder son is afraid, because he is somewhat expressive, but my
younger son is not expressive, so it is only recently I found that he
is also afraid.

On 12th night we all went to sleep in one room, and even after windows
shut, a/c is on, sound of crackers can be heard, so it took long time
to convince children to make them sleep. Again in the night there was
sound of crackers and my younger son woke up, and started laughing.
(But later I found out that if he is afraid he express it as laugh),

so I thought this will make others to get disturbed in sleep, I took
him out and went to other room for sleep. There also he was making
noise and wanted to go back to same room, so he used to rush to the
door, so I gave few beating and make him lie down.

If I give some beating, he has to return it, so he started beating me.
My head was spinning, full of semi sleep, still after every beat, I
will control not to beat him, then I was really tired, then prayed god
please kill me I want to end this misery. And tried to listen to the
‘hiss’ sound, slowly slowly I could concentrate on this ‘hiss’ sound,
and deeply in the state of withdrawing myself, and suddenly all
chattering of mind ended in my consciousness. It was ‘me’ full
consciousness shining, no thoughts, but full of knowing. I know my son
is beating me, kicking me and crying loud, but my body lied there like
dead body without any resistance. For similar situation in the past, I
used to beat him, or until few moments before I was beating, but only
when I felt to die completely this thing has happened.

My son tried all his stunts, but he could not get any response from
me, so he slowly relaxed and gone to sleep. I too remained in the
state of full consciousness and we can call this state as bliss
because there is no mind. But one thing is sure it is ‘me’ I know it
very well. I declare it today, that what you search as truth is
already you, because it is ‘you’. When mind is empty of words, it is
full of you, and that is the state of suchness and bliss etc.,

To achieve this there are two ways possible, i.e. 1) you should be
ready to die completely with no desire to live, then it happens
immediately. 2) You should desire that state. But we do not desire god
or truth, what we desire is ‘identity’ in the world we know. God gives
what you desire. This statement also takes it for granted that it is
one hundred percent truth. Those who desire god, please desire him
alone, then you will realize him immediately.

Mr.Phantom desires that there should be no religion, so that there
would not be any wars or fight, so keeping this in view, he feels,
only science can unite everybody, so he preaches science. He is not
realizing that pure science will also lead to war.

Only self-realization will lead to peace, because you will realize all
is one and only.

Another point here is I agree fully with the view of Sri.Muralidharan
that one should follow dharama as prescribed in vedas. But today’s
world where there is mixture of culture, it is not possible for all to
follow exactly as it is told in vedas.

Right in the hill temple of Palani, the priest / gurukkal who perform
pujas are not doing sandhya vandana. My own father in law and brother
in law who is all gurukkal in Palani hill temple, do not do sandhya
vandana. Because they had to get up at 3.30 AM and leave home at 4.00
so as to reach temple at 4.30 and conduct puja at 5.00 AM. Similarly
in the evening from 3.30 until 9.00 PM. If people have hectic life
like this, where they can do sandhya vandanam.

But please note all those who perform sandhyavandanam and all other
rituals of vedas not become a saint. And if you become saint like
Kanchi acharya they are exempted from many of these prescribed duties.
So these duties do not lead to self-realization, but only make
cultured man, which again bring only material benefits to one who
performing but does not lead to self-realization.

But any human being’s ultimate aim should be self-realization. As I
said earlier it can be achieved only by two methods, either fully
desire it or desire not worldly things which includes body.

In dhamma pada, Buddha said ‘Siddhartha died long time back but no one
noticed it’ then who is this Buddha? He is the ultimate 'god' and god
only.

Jesus got full enlightenment only when he was on the cross, when he
said ‘thy will be done’, i.e. he is fully surrendered and ready to
accept his bodily death, then Christ, the god came out of him.

Ramana Maharishi states that when one continue to remain in self, his
ego dies totally and then god is in him fully. Only god shines forth.
He gives example of pot, water and reflection Pot – body, water –
mind, reflection – ego. The yogi/person desiring god, should discard
all, i.e. if body is discarded, mind in it also get discarded, so
there wouldn’t be any reflection i.e. ego, then what exist is ‘him’
the god alone shine forth.

Best wishes
Suresh
