Joe,

I don't think much of Picasso's art but I do really like his quote that "Art is 
lies that tell the truth."

AND it's important to understand that quote applies ALSO to illusions in Zen.

Illusions ARE lies that tell the truth. That is illusions are illusory but they 
reveal Buddha Nature.

A great Zen saying from Picasso slightly altered!
