Joe

This book is mind capturing.

Two years back I went to one of my company vessel for audit. There one
2nd Officer Mr.Francis, a Christian. I normally like to be associated
by people who talk on philosophy and religion, because this is what my
conscious and unconscious interest. That 2nd officer was so quiet and
calm. But other superintendent and captain of the vessel did not like
him, because his reaction is slow in any situation that is what their
complaint. But I find him an Interesting person.

He told me about a girl ‘Suhani Shah’, she was a gifted girl, a
magician and hypnotherapist. He said he had attended her class and
felt great energy and also admitted that he changed a lot after that.

Then both of us left the vessel ( as he had completed his contract
time, he signed off from the vessel) and while in car to airport, we
talked a long on general philosophy. I was explaining the state of
mind during understanding any subject. Then he told me, he will give
me a book and to read and said few of my thoughts seems reflecting in
it. That book was ‘The Power of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle.

At airport he was taken to customs and immigration clearance since he
was signed off from the vessel, then I straight went to airport and
started reading that book, it was mind capturing, so authentic and so
full of truth I felt. He displays the layers and layers of your mind.
In simple words he is the Master of the mind, hence show yourself who
you are. He quotes Buddha and Jesus at various places and explains its
inner meaning.

I have also bought two other books of him, and those are “The New
Earth” and “Stillness speaks”.

I keep reading those books randomly again and again to refresh myself.

And to show special of him, please note I even purchased the book of
Jaggi Vasudev ‘Encounter the enlightened’ and he is more like OSHO.
Nithyananda is again like OSHO, Sri Sri Ravishanker again like OSHO.
At one point of time I thought most of these spiritual teachers copy
OSHO. But Eckhart Tolle totally differs from them all.

Many compare the similarity of Eckhart Tolle and J.Krishnamurti, but
Eckhart is different from J.Krishnamurti in his teaching.

Eckhart Tolle claims he is the Master. He says “there has been only
one master from time immemorial, who only appear in different form and
I am that Master.” He shares his enlightening experience. He is not
even aware first that he was enlightened, only after coming across
other spiritual teachers he had realized that what had happened to him
was that enlightenment.

Don’t read like critic, but read with open mind, you will live in zen.

Best wishes
Suresh
