I saw this story on YAHOO! and thought I'd recognized something in the painting that I saw in one of your paintings (I hope you're still working!). The black and white of the line, you know. But this is a Milwaukee junk-shop find, a $12 purchase that some say is worth $9k on the market; I don't right now see why not MUCH MORE. This is why I keep out of junkshops: if I found anything like that, I couldn't afford to insure it. ;-) (And, I think of what I save by not buying all that other stuff there that I don't need, and that I can afford. A win-win!) I have never entered a Wal-Mart, either, but Bill! whetted my appetite with his mention in a poem of "Wine". Dang these Poets! ;-) My own, hand-carved, joke about Wal-Mart is: "Mall-Wart". Sometimes I express in Spoonerisms, even if I don't think in them. Same as the other Reverend? Now, is it true that Rev. Spooner lost his life in penalty for his referring to Elizabeth as "Our Queer Dean"? http://news.yahoo.com/9k-artwork-bought-12-milwaukee-goodwill-161513521.html When you're back, Merle, pls. read this email. It'll keep. And check out the link! The painting. "Good art? Bad art?" ;-) --Joe
