Yes, it's a natural question.

There are confirmatory signs which a teacher can recognize.

Also, a famous saying in our sect is that one will drink water and know for 
*oneself* if it is warm or cool.

But, it is best -- safest -- to have a teacher as a "touchstone", to determine 
if you are in fact real "Gold".

Even if you have no teacher, you can *TRAVEL* to an established teacher to be 
tested.  It takes all of about ten seconds (usually ten times less).
