Hi, Iain, You bet; and we should all be glad of that. Not only for you, but for ourselves.
(BTW, the subject-line reads like a Vegan menu... !). ;-) I was just mentioning priority. Your post came out of the blue with a concern for priority or precedent of origin chickens or eggs, and got me thinking about a really ancient priority. One must still wonder about the predecessor(s) of the first single-celled organism(s), I think. "Wonder", in the sense of question and probe; and "wonder", in the sense of feel some amount and variety of "awe". Some thinkers suppose that biological life came from elsewhere, and seeded the earth, after the earth cooled from a sterilizing molten state following the giant collision which produced the Moon. But if we carry on thinking that, way we find an infinite regress. The question stands, then, about what ancestor the very first single celled organisms sprang from. If Mind is all there is, why did It want to give itself the sense of being embodied in something that we call physical form? (it may be that it's the neatest game in town). Meanwhile, it's a wonder, in both senses, or more. ;-) --Joe > "iain" wrote: > > Yes, true Joe.
