You're kind of correct. You don't have to be in any particular place or sitting 
in any particular position on any particular kind of seat. As long as you can 
sit still, with spine erect, for around 10 - 30 minutes, and stayed focused on 
an object of meditation (the breath works for most), then this is all you'll 
ever need (along with the good guidance of a person who has trod the path you 
are on). It's the simplest thing in the world, but just don't think it's easy.
