I accept! Wishing you a good day, there.

I thought of you yesterday while cultivating the winter garden here with the
new cultivating tool. Temperatures are rising, Sun is further North each day,
and Equinox in just two weeks, a fast-moving knife-edge balance point of the
Seasons. Tomato seedlings should go in at that time, and the kohlrabi, beets,
and lettuce should be about "done" (-for).

Wild mustard is growing all over town, and I surely love the mustard greens
done lightly wilted in the bamboo steamer along with a meal. A cold Winter
storm bearing down on us from the Gulf of Alaska will wash over the desert on
the weekend: I'll be laying-in some firewood today.

The US Government in Washington, D.C. is shut down today, due to a snowstorm.

Winter in the Capital; tentative signs of Spring in the desert.

I've got flower seeds to plant: African Daisy and Painted Daisy. They like our
dry heat, and, boy, do they smile when they flower.

An ancient Ch'an master said:

"People of the present age see these flowers as if in a DREAM!"

Even then, even then.

All Best,

--Joe
