Dear Joe,

When we have integrated approach, why not integrate all other
religions as well. Why in that there is difference of opinion in many
members of this forum?

Ramana Maharishi used to state that if you want to know whether any
guru is truly
enlightened, then on his presence one will feel peacefulness. Sometime
back I have posted some words of Eckhart Tolle and few had difference
of opinion and did not accept him as a truly enlightened person. Just
on the words if you cannot ascertain his divine nature then you need
to meet him in person and if you feel peacefulness in his presence,
then you can accept him as enlightened person, but people judge on few
words alone, which is not right way of judging anybody.

I really want to know what we want in life? Why do we follow any
particular religion?

I understand each religion promise a certain kind of superior living
then the present. To gain that superiority, there are certain
procedures / methods given to follow.

But all those enlightened gurus are gaining that superiority by
accident and not by that step by step procedure. This step by step
procedure gives only half way benefits and not the final destination.
And we are happy with that and never try for ultimate destination.

If anyone wants that final destination, then one need to stop this
step by step procedure. Because this step by step procedure differ
from religion to religion, people stop at the steps and fight each
other for claiming there steps only leading to final destination, in
which destination is forgotten.

What is the final destination? No unenlightened people know about it.
If you don’t know where you are going, how one will know whether one
has arrived the final destination or not? So many people claim they
have reached destination in fact they may be nowhere near to the final
destinations. The cleaver liars exploit people in terms of step by
step procedures.

Even if I see the life in an outwardly way also I see the journey is
‘from nothingness to nothingness’. Before birth I am not or I do not
exist and after death again I will not exist. So from this I
understand my destination is ‘nothingness’.

What is nothingness? At present ‘I’ the thinker exist as voice in my
head. That means if ‘I’ ceases or the voice in the head disappears
then what is, is
nothingness, there is no one to claim anything that I have arrived the
destination. It is the nothingness which needs to claim.

The voice in the head can cease temporarily also, that happens to us
very often when we are fully attracted on something. It can happen
while we see sunrise or setting or beautiful mountain/valley or
beautiful person or even while reading an interesting book. That is
the moment we need to get the sense of I am arrived the destination
that is nothingness. Or in other words those nothingness is not but
the awareness of present moment. This awareness or consciousness is
what worded as ‘self’ by Ramana Maharishi. That is the correct word
actually. When there is awareness without any association with body
then that realization is immediate as it is what me or self.

So destination is not separate from me at any moment of time. To know
me I don’t require any step by step procedures. So approach is not
required but it is immediate.

Best wishes
Suresh
