Group,

A fine little video at the TRICYCLE Magazine site features an account by my
late teacher Sheng Yen's youngest Dharma heir, Master Guo Jun.

The video is entitled "Returning Home".

You'll see the monk carrying out some of the exercises that we practice for the
body, at one of the retreat center buildings in Pine Bush, NY.

The account is of practice, and a little of his awakening experience as it
happened under the guidance of Sheng Yen.

I have not met this monk, but now I see that I would really like to.

Below is a link to the video. Below that is a copy of the text that appears at
the site about the video. The film is about 10 1/2 minutes:

Returning Home follows Chan Master Guo Jun, author of "A Special Transmission"
in the current issue of Tricycle, as he practices and shares his insights at
the Dharma Drum retreat center in Pine Bush, New York. Chan Master Guo Jun is
abbot of Mahabodhi Monastery in Singapore and teaches internationally. He is
the youngest dharma heir of Chan Master Sheng Yen (1930–2009) and served from
2005 to 2008 as abbot of the Dharma Drum retreat center. Guo Jun is a native
of Singapore, where he was born in 1974, and he received his full monastic
ordination in Taiwan in 1998. He is a lineage holder in the Chan, Xianshou,
and Cien schools of Chinese Buddhism. The film instills a sense of Guo Jun's
unique wisdom and the character of the Chinese Buddhist tradition to which he
belongs.
