The attitude of watchfulness does not need an object. As it happened, I was confused in thinking the vigil was at the church, so it was all locked when I got there, so I spent my time seeing how long it would take to walk the labyrinth at a slow Soto kinhin pace. I did not get an answer however: at about one hour in my knee, injured in a recent ski trip, started to hurt so I sped up.
