Merle, I was always taught to do zazen with my eyes open (half-open), but certainly not closed. Also we did 'kinhin' which is walking meditation'. Many people do Tai Chi which can be a moving form of mediation. Any activity can be meditation if it's done with a clear mind.
You asked "Any thoughts?" My answer is, 'while meditation, no...no thoughts'. ...Bill! --- In [email protected], Merle Lester <merlewiitpom@...> wrote: > > i was thinking like a tree after a very short standing meditation.. > standing there straight and strong.. > yet not too inflexible or rigid.. > > imagine if trees walked like we do... > > is open eyes meditation a possibility whilst i stand? > > any thoughts? > > > Merle > www.wix.com/merlewiitpom/1 > ------------------------------------ Current Book Discussion: any Zen book that you recently have read or are reading!
