Also I looked up the word 'rabbet' which I've seen you use before. It is a groove cut into a piece of wood so it can be joined to another piece. The corresponding part of the other piece is called a 'tongue' or 'ledge'. When you use the word 'rabbet' it seems like you use it to mean 'rail' or to 'lecture'.
