William, It's called irony. I use that a lot.
My last 2 paragraphs in the reply to Edgar below was irony. It was suggesting that anything you say is okay as long as you put a smiley face on it - which as you've pointed out (and I demonstrated in the post) is not true. Jeez! You guys have to LIGHTEN UP! ...and that's not irony (although it could be kind of a pun - like it could mean both 'lighten up' as in 'chill out', and it could mean 'lighten up' as in 'become enlightened'. Get it? Okay? I can't promise you I'll dial back on the irony because I really, really like it. All I can offer is if I write something that is offensive to you or seems odd ask about it and I will reply completely straightly - without irony or any jokes (well, maybe a pun or two). :>) ...Bill! --- In [email protected], Email <brintala@...> wrote: > > I'm sorry Bill but I fail to see that :-) makes it OK. > > Sent from my iPhone > > On May 14, 2013, at 8:11 AM, "Bill!" <BillSmart@...> wrote: > > > Edgar, > > > > 'Take your meds!' is just a street slang for 'Chill out!' or 'Take a chill > > pill!' or 'Cool it!'. > > > > What I did not do is put on a smiley face, which I should have done.
