dear suresh.
i need to laugh... and laugh i will.. that is seriously necessary... merle Dear Merle, Who wrote those words? Merle? Who is merle? Is body Merle? The body of course never claims its ownership, so it is not body. Then who else wrote those words.? Certainly it is mind or ‘thinker’. But is ‘thinker’ you merle? Where was thinker when you were born? Is it not the mere data/information given by the world outside of the body? There is no ‘you’ in you. ( Hence Buddha claims ‘No self’) Suppose it is asked or told to you and if it is possible, give away all information from where it is received, since it is not yours. What happens then? Just think…., at the end of giving away all information which is not yours what is left? There is nothing. Not even your name ‘merle’ Just emptiness. This emptiness is arrived by not laughing at a joke, but when being serious to know what is truth. Hence I say be serious. I do not say keep thinking, by that you mean, you play with information collected in your brain. When I say think, it mean, look, just look at, or enquire who am I? You are telling me a covering work, I am telling you a cleaning work. I say look at there, there is wound you say no problem, let me cover it up, so that you don’t see it. But I say clean it, cure it , heal it. So be serious. best wishes Suresh -- Thanks and best regards J.Suresh New No.3, Old No.7, Chamiers road - 1st Lane, Alwarpet, Chennai - 600018 Ph: 044 42030947 Mobile: 91 9884071738 ------------------------------------ Current Book Discussion: any Zen book that you recently have read or are reading!
