Bill!,<br/><br/>I haven't watched the video as I know of Tolle quite well. 
>From what you've said to, I think he's correct that just a one off realisation 
that the ego is illusory isn't (usually) enough to dissolve the years of 
conditioning that have reinforced the structure of the ego. We can see that 
everyday in our own lives when we backslide into ego-centred behaviour despite 
our practice. Sudden awakening. Gradual
