mike..what?... your youngest is 15..bloody hell did you start at 15....i
thought you yourself was a youngster..about 45?..where is the wife..if it's not
being nosey?..
anyway good night from australia... over and out..
merle p.s,,tribal new guinea is a different story..i am big time into tribal
..my all time heroes are the bushmen of the kalahari desert... i love them

Merle,

I've 3 kids including a daughter and my youngest son is 15. The problem I see
following your argument is that you're trying to put a 60+ year head on a
teenager's body. We've all done stupid things when we were kids that we regret
and wouldn't dream of doing now as adults. But there's only a potential 2 year
age gap between these kids. I think Bill is right. If this was about 2
heterosexual kids there'd be no fuss. Imagine how many schools have such
relationships? Also, the age thing is totally arbitrary. Imagine going to Papua
New Guinea and complaining about the same age difference between two village
members..

mike..well come to australia sydney..moderate muslims do speak up!..
i care little for whether kate is a criminal or not,,
she knows the law..and she was so desperate with desire she could not wait...
it's not the buddhist way...
in her own mind  how does she feel...
jesus at 15...for christ sake i keep harping on about childhood and innocence..
did you experience the beauty of childhood and innocence..?
do you have any kids?..do you understand what i am saying?...
we have a lifetime to be adults in an adult world..
childhood and innocence is a fleeting moment...
it is very precious...
let's not rush ourselves head first all guns firing into adulthood and
responsibilities...
let's play a little let's have fun..innocent and free...
that is why there are the laws to protect the innocent..
do you get it?...
merle

Merle,

An act is illegal if there is a law prohibiting it. If you do that act you have
committed a crime. If you're convicted of that crime by a court (which is what
Tim is trying to prevent) then you are a 'criminal'. If you approve of that law
(and you most certainly appear to), then you will by default be making the 18
year old a criminal.

You could well be right about my judging of Islam, but I'm yet to be convinced
by your argument, or anyone elses here, that I'm wrong. The evidence supporting
my argument can be seen everyday all over the world. I've yet to see moderate
Muslims protesting on the street that their religion is being hijacked by evil
mean wrongfully killing in the name of their God.

 mike..

did i say they were criminals?..who's judging now?..

don't you think this kinda thing happens on this side of the planet?...
sure they may be friends..so how come everybody knows?... eh..keep it
quiet..who squealed?...
it is illegal in australia...the 15 year old is too young...what happened to
innocence?...
so kate at 18 is so desperate she can't wait? huh?
don't give the shit about it happens regardless and why not?...

a rational mind..come on edgar..this is where we use common sense and rational
thinking do not let our instincts run away with us...

mike this applies to dames and blokes in the back of the car and then get
pregnant..mindlessness..rush rush in and just do it..never thinking what lies
ahead...
just plain stupid... all for what a bit of hopeless stumbling and fumbling in
the dark ...

in america and ireland..no abortion in many places and the catholic men
preaching no pill no pill...plain stupid..
if that's been judgemental be it so...

don't tell me you don't judge mike...
your not santa claus with your sack of toys from greenland...
your human like the rest of us on this forum...
prone to judge..

prone to think ya right..

prone to criticise when what's been said doesn't suit your doctrines and your
self made mantras...

you made that bright and clear in your observations of islam...
take a step back..
might those folk you so put into the basket as terrorists may they not be
better called fundamentalists..
they come in many shades and colours and creeds... and include zen buddhists!
one size cap doeth not fit all...

now my turn to ring the gong...

amen...

merle

Merle,

Why be so quick to judge when we don't know the facts. They sound like they're
school friends and might have had some kind of relationship for sometime. Why
should someone on the other side of the planet (that's you) feel like they have
the right to judge either of them as criminal? I thought you'd be against that
kind of judgmentalism.

it's illegal here hetro or homo... and for god sake..as i keep saying so
desperate was kate?..merle

Merle,

It's illegal in the USA too. That's why she's being charged with felonies -
probably statutory rape, corruption of a minor or child abuse.

Tim and the people objecting to this say this would not be being prosecuted if
it were a heterosexual relationship and is only being pursued because of the
homosexual aspect.

...Bill!
