joe...most pet owners bury their beloved pets in their own backyards..merle Merle,
quoting: "why waste all that good quality protein?" There are sentient beings underground who feast on that protein, not to worry. It is not wasted. The biosphere is one big recycling unit. A hush-hush scandal in the pet-food industry concerns "rendering", and the use of dead pets in pet food. No, this is not "extraordinary rendition", but it is extraordinary, and gets some people to rend their clothes. I think pets that have been euthanized by, e.g., rescue services and veterinarians, are sometimes sold to "renderers" who use high heat to render the deceased pets' flesh anaerobically _in vacuo_ to a sterile product which is then sold to pet food producers. I think the product can be found on subsequent pet food product labels as "rendered animal meal". Not ALL of it is from pets, but the claim is that some is. Some people object to their dogs and cats eating dogs and cats. --Joe > Merle Lester <merlewiitpom@...> wrote: > > do some research on ants..and if the ants did eat their dead... so what.?.. > maybe we need to take a leaf out of their book...our graveyards are absurd... > our funeral rites are plain silly > give me a Tibetan funeral any day of the week > why waste all that good quality protein?
