Here is my cent of contribution based on personal understanding and experience:

Nothing is perfect as it seems, particularly life itself.

Damage is not a complete chaos unless we fail to recognize it in time and couldn't pick up any learning, on the contrary it gives us a chance to think about things that can and shall have a better change in the future.  Positive thinking and attitude keep us moving toward more positive direction.  That's why in Chinese "Crisis" also means opportunities.

Can we fix a broken mirror when it's cracked? The answer is Yes and No.  Even if we could pick up every tiny pieces and clue them back together, the mirror is no longer the same mirror any more, and more attention for caring is required.  "No" can only happen when one does not want and fails to pick up every tiny pieces, and fails to take efforts to clue those piece together.
