Wai, I'm not sure I follow you -- but I think you are suggesting the question would have been better posed as:
How can I show sentient beings that it is "inevitable" that we practice enlightenment for all sentient beings (and thus practice to improve our practice), and we therefore never had an oppurtunity to choose or not choose this path. And thereby better reflect the Bodhisattva way? If so, then yes, I stand corrected, that is what I meant... Or have I now misunderstood you? :) Rod -----Original Message----- From: wai_dk [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, September 24, 2004 5:03 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Zen] Re: Finding a mirror... --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED], "Rod Scholl" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Fudo, and all: > > I have a question for you, please... > > How can I show myself that it is "inevitable" that I practice > enlightenment for all sentient beings (and thus practice to improve > my practice), and I therefore never had an oppurtunity to choose or > not choose this path. Hi Rod Seems that "for all sentient beings" cannot happen if there is: "How can I show myself", "inevitable", "thus practice to improve my practice", or "I therefore never had an oppurtunity to choose or not choose" Right? wai Noble Eightfold Path: Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, Right Concentration, Right Livelihood Yahoo!
