Hi, how are you all?
I am taking a brief vacation down here in Brazil and I decided
to go to the movies today.
I watched Ocean�s Twelve today. Very good movie.
However, I had to notice how Catherine Zeta-Jones is aware of
herself. Of course, she is a very good looking person and a movie
star, so it is only natural that she should act like this. But, in a
way, it is like she is too aware of herself. She is too conscious of
her own appeareance and her own fame. As a matter of fact, I think
she would be even more good-looking and elegant if she just forgot
who she is.
When I was eighteen, based on my own personal observations, I
reached the following conclusion: True elegance is, by definition,
uncounscious. Seems that I was right.
Dogen, by his turn, said once that no one should worry about
becoming a buda. Just be. Just pratice. I can see a paralell here.
