The only pet peeve I have with Dalai Lama is his
prolific writing and publishing career. I go to my
local spiritual bookstore, and more than half of the
bookshelves dedicated to Buddhism consist of dilluted
books that were ghost written by who knows who on
behalf of Dalai Lama.
I think that if he were to ease up and retreat into
the background, it would open up an opportunity for
many other more useful books to be available.
I was scandalized last month upon visiting my local
'flake central' bookstore (Banyen books), and
realizing that they don't carry even a single book on
Nagarjuna! Meanwhile, they had about 295 books
supposedly written by Dalai Lama. Yeah, right!
If people feel that countless Dalai Lama books are
more important than Nagarjuna's books, then I have no
other choice but to complain that Dalai Lama is a
phony.
