Wow. Renaissance Festival, Apache Junction, and Trailer all in one sentence -- my East Mesa high school mentality just rolled over in its grave giggling :)
Well enjoy your trip -- the smog in AZ is making some positively beautiful sunsets as you may know. I'm angling for a paid-trip back to the states where the valley will likely be our destination (my employer is there) but mostly we'll go for the weather :) -- so if you run into some zen-poser arrogant ass poking around your booth, I won't be offended if you say, "Rod, is that you?" lol Rod Scholl -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, January 10, 2005 4:54 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Zen] So long! But we are there for the 8 week run of the Renaissance Festival where I make a good portion of my income for the year. I spend all the time at home making stock and then it gets sold at various festivals. Also it is my yearly trip to buy my materials at the Tucson Gem show. We get to stay in a nice trailer behind my booth at the festival outside of Apache Junction. We managed to finally buy a trailer when the youngest was born...for many years we camped in a tent for two months at a time at the various Renaissance Festivals. Now we live in a luxurious (in comparison to a small tent)1970's era trailer. This is one of our favorite festivals. We live one booth down from a Blacksmith. There is nothing like doing Zazen while he is making stock....*ping* *ping* *ping* *grinding whine* *ping*.....
