Yes it is an example of the grasping mind. There is no way to begin without some grasping mind. How are we supposed to finish the practice before we start? One could grasp at I want to be "MR. COOL ZEN MASTER" :) or "enlightenment" or "nirvana" or a variety of things. Why is this a problem? You can begin only where you begin. At the end, when you actually BECOME MR. COOL ZEN MASTER.. well I can't speak to what that's like. :) But actually, what inspired me was noticing the calm, the kindness, and the compassion. I reach for that banana.
