While I can understand your frustration with Alex, often it is the most bizarre or obnoxious people that need the most love and nurturing. I realize that I myself am often obnoxious and bizarre, and that I am rarely loving or nurturing. However, from reading many of the thoughtful responses of the members of this list, I think that I have matured to some small degree. Perhaps if we try to give some nurturing to Alex, he will grow to a better level. Certainly he is rejected often enough, and we are just continuing him on the vicious cycle of rejection that he is already on. Is not our goal to help liberate others? Should we not turn the Dharma Wheel with right speech and right intention? Should we not guide Alex with words and actions towards a realization of right thinking?
