I wouldn't want to beat anyone up for their beliefs. I would want to tell them to let go, let go of all beliefs and all things. Let go of self. Not because letting go will lead to a dreary and unhappy disillusionment, but because it leads to peace, freedom. The rest and ease and freedom from fear we are all wanting so much.
Ian >From: "Jacqueline" <> (sorry you were beat up Al for your beliefs as a >child,> > >We all get beat up for whatever we believe in. There is always someone who >wants to crush whatever makes you happy. Nobody will ever get upset that >somebody is disillusioned. However, if you have some kind of illusion about >life, you can always count on someone having a problem with it. If you let go a little, you will have a little peace. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace. If you let go completely, you will have complete peace. ~ Ajahn Chah ------------------------ Yahoo!
