Thanks I'll try this for now, At the moment upgrading causing a short downtime 
on our production servers wouldn't be good So I'll upgrade from V1 stable to 
V2rc1 in a few weeks.

As far as i know setting it to Weight: connection LINEAR dispatching by weight 
will give you what you want.
(I encountered the same results as you during my testing days - setting it to 
weight solved it).

I have a farm setup and it's alg is set to priority and I have set 1 real 
server to a priority of 1000 and another to a priority of 1. When I look at the 
connections taking place on the farm when both servers are available I see 
connections going to both servers. I want them to go to the server with higher 
priority only effectively making it a master and the one with lower priority a 
failover slave. I was under the impression priority did this but it seems like 
it may be bleeding connections? I have attached a screen shot of what I'm seeing
