Hi, Sathish.

Maintenance mode doesn't break the cluster, only set the "priority" of the
node very low, so it will never become a master meanwhile the other node is
up. If a node set as maintenance is switching to master, the other node is
going down, or there isn't connection between both, or there is a trouble
with the synchronization of the system time of the nodes.

You can unconfigure the cluster if you want only one node active.
