I'm running Zen V3.03 and I have multiple l4xnat (Nat) farms running on
specific ports lists,
e.g.
Farm1 (l4xnat): Virtual IP (a.a.a.a) / Virtual ports(80,44,443,8888) / Type Nat
Farm2 (l4xnat): Virtual IP(a.a.a.a) / Virtual ports(88,49,4433,8889) / Type Nat
...
..
..
On each of my farms I have FarmGuardian enabled (yes I know it's not officially
supported on l4xnat farms) and it runs a custom compiled C check script to
verify if the backend servers are alive. I know when I first start the
loadbalancer or anytime I stop / start a farm I have to go back into the edit
of the farm and click the modify button in order to get Zen to start the
FarmGuardian process (even if it's checked and enabled in the gui. Simply
Clicking Modify starts the check process). I know if the LB switches over the
secondary (HA Mode) the same thing occurs as if the farm was stopped / started
and I have to go back into the farms and simply click Modify to start the check
process.
I was wondering if there was a way from the shell I could either from a script
or a command simulate the same as clicking the modify button for the farm so I
could start the FarmGuardian check process (or restart it ) from the command
line? That way I could use a cron or restart the FarmGuardian process when a
failover HA occurs or when a farm starts / stop?
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
